Ramsey Commissioners encourage tenants to pay rent by Direct Debit.
You may well pay other household bills by Direct Debit - in which case you will know how valuable it can be as part of your household budgeting. Regular payments of your rent will be made automatically by your Bank or Building Society. So you can relax knowing you'll never miss a payment or go into arrears.
Direct Debit payments will also enable us to keep our collection costs down by reducing cash handling and ensuring that your rent payments are made on a regular basis.
The Direct Debit Guarantee:

You are guaranteed an immediate refund from your Bank or Building Society in the unlikely event of an error ever occurring.

You are always advised at least 10 working days in advance of any proposed changes to either the amounts to be paid or the payment dates, this gives you ample time to query any payment and you can cancel at any time by simply advising your Bank or Building Society.
If you do amend or cancel an instruction please remember to advise the Commission as well.
It's easy to change to Direct Debit if you decide to take advantage of the system. Simply complete the Direct Debit instruction, which can be downloaded here, and return it to the Town Hall.
You will be sent full details of your automatic payment dates and amounts.
