Eighteen Ramsey Town Commission properties at Brookhill Road and Seamount Road, Ramsey, are to undergo extensive refurbishment.
The properties were built in 1950, and have recently been upgraded to full central heating as part of the Department of Local Government and the Environment framework agreement for local authority homes. Cavity wall and loft insulation has also been completed together with new external doors in advance of the further proposed works which include

Re-roofing including roofing timber repairs where necessary;
External render and dash finish;

Replacement of steel lintels to ground floor windows;

Replacement of all eaves, fascias, rainwater goods, soil stacks etc with uPVC components;

Replacement kitchens;

Replacement bathrooms;

Rewiring.
The scheme is being project managed by local firm Dalrymple Associates, other project team members are Magee & Co Quantity Surveyors and Holmes Grace Engineers and Planning Supervisors.
Tender documentation is expected to be issued in November 2009 with work commencing on site in July 2010. The contract is expected to be completed by the middle of March 2011.
