In 2022 Ramsey Town Commissioners introduced a “Bag for Life” featuring the Visit Ramsey logo.
The strategic goals for the original project aligned with the town vision in working towards Net Zero by reducing plastic bag use in the town and also promote the town of Ramsey through branding. These original principles remain as valid as ever following our decision to become a UNESCO Biosphere partner. These bags are available for sale at £5 each from Ramsey Library.
Ramsey Town Commissioners are holding a competition which will build on the success of this project by inviting submissions of a design to feature on a new tote bag.
We are inviting people to submit designs which represent Ramsey. Entries are welcome from anyone and must be submitted online. The artist of the winning design will receive £250 in return for Ramsey Town Commissioners having full and exclusive use of the design.

"The initial print run of tote bags in 2022 proved to be a success so it makes perfect sense to take the opportunity to support local artists by opening up this competition to create a fresh new design that represents Ramsey. I'm really looking forward to seeing the variety of art this broad design brief of Ramsey inspires and whether it's based on the independent shopping available in the town, the geographical features or the people and culture I am sure it will result in another sought after environmentally friendly bag for practical every day use and as a gift."
