Ramsey Town Commissioners have introduced a street cleaning and litter policy.
The policy sets out a number of objectives in relation to the general amenity of the town including provision of sufficient litter and dog bins, the undertaking of regular sweeping of all streets and pavements and the provision and maintenance of street lighting.
A schedule of when street cleaning is undertaken is incorporated into the policy as are details of the service provision.
The policy can be viewed at Ramsey Town Hall and here.
Ramsey Town Commissioners' chairman Andy Cowie said: 'I am delighted that we have agreed another strategic policy which supports our vision to make Ramsey a better place to be.
'The policy clarifies our approach to street tidiness and places set targets on our responses to litter. This policy builds on the good work already undertaken by the team and formalises the approach that the Commission takes to managing the cleaning of our town.
'The Commission also needs the support of residents and visitors to our town to help us keep the town looking attractive and to continue to be a place that we can take pride in.'
