Ramsey Town Commissioners have released details of an additional refuse household collection service in the town and the arrangements for the reopening of the Northern Civic Amenity Site.
The information is contained in a letter being delivered to all Ramsey households today which is also published on the Commissioners website www.ramsey.gov.im.
An additional refuse collection will be provided to all households in Ramsey during the week 27th April to 1st May 2020. The Commissioners hope this additional collection will assist those who do not have the means to get to a civic amenity site, are self-isolating or wishing to maintain social distancing, and will reduce the demand on the Northern Authorities Civic Amenity Site.
The Northern Civic Amenity Site will open at 8am on Saturday 25th April 2020 for burnable and green waste only. In order to operate the site safely there will be a number of operational restrictions including a limit of the number of vehicles allowed on site at any time, the type of waste which can be accepted and the requirement that all visitors to the site must book an arrival time by following the link on the Commissioners website – www.ramsey.gov.im. Those without access to the internet can book an arrival slot by calling 810100 during office hours. Bookings can be made from 1pm on Thursday 23rd April 2020.
The Commission will continue to keep its website (www.ramsey.gov.im) and our social media channels updated but hope that delivering a letter will also ensure those without internet access are kept up to date.
Those who do not have access to the internet can contact the Commissioners by telephone on 810100 during normal office hours.
The letter can be downloaded from here.
