An exciting opportunity has arisen within the finance team of this progressive authority for a part or fully qualified accountant to join as Deputy Finance Officer. The successful candidate will support the Responsible Finance Officer in managing the Authority’s funds, streamlining financial processes, and exploiting systems such as Sage to enhance efficiency.
Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role, preferably with public sector finance experience and knowledge of Sage or similar accounting software. Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and a high attention to detail are essential.
