RAMSEY TOWN COMMISSIONERS
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985
The Ramsey Town Commissioners [hereinafter referred to as “the Commission”] have submitted a petition seeking the approval of the Department of Infrastructure: -
1. Under Section 25 of the Local Government Act 1985, to purchase 12 [Twelve] x Apartments at Forest View, Ramsey.
2. Under Section 51 of the Local Government Act 1985, to borrow a sum not exceeding £2,580,000. [Two Million Five Hundred and Eighty Thousand Pounds] repayable within 20 [Twenty] years, to contribute to the Purchase of 12 [Twelve] x Apartments at Forest View, Ramsey.
3. Under Section 60 of the Housing Act 1955, to allocate part of the proceeds arising from the sale of the Albert Street flats, £60,000 [Sixty Thousand Pounds], to reduce the amount of borrowing required for this acquisition.

The petition will be considered by the Department of Infrastructure, and any views on the proposal should be submitted to the Petitions’ Officer, Local Government Unit, Management Services Division, Department of Infrastructure, Sea Terminal Building, Douglas, IM1 2RF, no later than noon on Friday, 12th December 2025.
