RAMSEY TOWN COMMISSIONERS
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985
The Ramsey Town Commissioners [hereinafter referred to as “the Commission”] have submitted a petition seeking the approval of the Department of Infrastructure:-
1. Under Section 51 of the Local Government Act 1985 to borrow a sum not exceeding £3,319,673.45, [Three Million, Three Hundred and Nineteen Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy-three pounds and forty-five pence] repayable within 20 years, to defray the cost of property refurbishment work on properties at Upper Queen’s Pier Road and Seamount Road, Ramsey.
The work on the 37 properties include refurbishment on the render, chimneys, roof, porches, outbuildings and bathroom replacements and will assist the Commission in maintaining its public sector housing stock to a good standard.

The petition will be considered by the Department of Infrastructure, and any views on the proposal should be submitted to the Petitions’ Officer, Local Government Unit, Management Services Division, Department of Infrastructure, Sea Terminal Building, Douglas, IM1 2RF, no later than noon on Friday, 5th December 2025.
